Australian Student Prize Presentation |
18th February, 2010 |
Three students from the Wide Bay electorate who excelled in their studies in 2008 have been presented with Australian Student Prizes by Federal Member for Wide Bay, Warren Truss.
The winners of the Prize from 2008 are Alexander Faulkner, Gympie State High School; Patrick Doolan, St Patrick’s College Gympie; and Thomas Robinson, Good Shepherd Lutheran College.
“The Australian Student Prize recognizes excellence in academic achievement,” Mr Truss said.
“The Prize was awarded to only 500 secondary students nationally. State and Territory Ministers selected the successful students late last year, based on their secondary school achievements in 2008.”
Each Prize winner receives $2,000 and a certificate to commemorate their success.
“I congratulate the winners on their achievement and wish them well for the future.”
