Noosa is one of Australia's iconic tourism destinations, noted for the careful management of its ecology, providing a truly natural tourism experience, marrying its natural charm to the world class accommodation and restaurant district of Noosa Heads.

Nearby Pomona hosts thousands of visitors each July for the “King of the Mountain” footrace up nearby Mt. Cooroora. If you think you can run to the top of the mountain and back in under 24 minutes, why not come along and try?

Gympie has gained national acclaim for the Gympie Country Music Muster held in late August each year in the Amamoor State Forest and attracting 40,000 people from around Australia for a true “bush bash”.

Close to Gympie, you will find Tin Can Bay, a fisherman's paradise, and Rainbow Beach and Inskip Point, a favoured camping area and setting off point for Fraser Island.

Around the smaller inland centres of Goomeri and Murgon, you will discover some of the South Burnett's many wineries and sample the area's fine produce such as olives and cheese. You can even visit the Kilkivan Lavender Farm.
