Federal Member for Wide Bay, Warren Truss, today welcomed the announcement of $56,000 in enhanced funding for Home and Community Care (HACC) Program providers in Murgon. “HACC providers operating from Murgon will receive an extra $56,000 to help them deliver services throughout the South Burnett,” Mr Truss said. “HACC funding supports a range of services that enable frail aged people and young people with disabilities to remain in their own homes with the support of their family. “We know the majority of people prefer to continue living in their own homes for as long as possible, and HACC service providers can give people a higher level of independence, comfort and security. “This funding will assist these organisations to deliver services which maintain and improve the quality of life for older and disabled Australians.” HACC funding details Graham House, Murgon, $35,000 Murgon Meals on Wheels, $13,000 Blue Care Murgon, $8,000 TOTAL $56,000 | |
