Wide Bay’s Community Survey 2012 due date extension |
4th June, 2012 |
Federal Member for Wide Bay Warren Truss has extended the deadline to return Wide Bay’s Community Survey 2012, allowing people an extra two weeks to submit their responses to the survey.
“Wide Bay’s Community Survey 2012 was distributed to households in Wide Bay in the first week of May and almost 5000 completed responses have already been received,” Mr Truss said.
“The survey asks people to identify and highlight a range of local, state and national issues which are important to them. So if people need some extra time to think about these issues before they make their response they are able to do so until 18 June 2012,” Mr Truss said.
“Wide Bay is a great part of Australia, but there is more that can be done to make it better.
“The questions in Wide Bay’s Community Survey 2012 canvass opinions on subjects including health, transport, the economy, taxation, education, population, foreign ownership, law and order, resources and energy, the environment, and social and civic issues.
“Wide Bay’s Community Survey 2012 gauges peoples’ support for ideas and proposals that sometimes come before parliaments that would impact on their local community and our region,” Mr Truss said.
“Wide Bay’s Community Survey 2012 gives people an opportunity to have their say and help me to ensure that their views are heard in the Federal Parliament.
“The results of the survey will be used to build a stronger community, and enhance our region’s place in Queensland and Australia,” Mr Truss said.
If you missed receiving your copy of the survey, or have misplaced it, you can request one by telephoning Mr Truss on 1300 301 968.
The survey should be returned to Mr Truss by folding and sealing the survey so the reply paid details are on the front and it should be posted by 18 June 2012.
“The results of the survey will be made publicly available and published on my website, www.warrentruss.com.”
